Most councils only accept reports after crews finish their round and for 1–2 working days afterwards. If you report too early, it may be rejected; too late, and they won’t return. Use our Missed Bin Checker to see if your window is open right now.

Confirm your bin was kerbside by the stated time, lids fully closed, no side waste, and contents match your council’s rules. If neighbours were also missed, mention this in your report — it often indicates a genuine missed round.

If the report is accepted, many councils aim to return within 1–5 working days, depending on the reason and service capacity. If you can’t wait, we provide private collections the same or next day.
