What to do while you wait for a replacement

• Label any found bin: add your house number with a marker or sticker to deter theft and stop mix-ups.
• Store waste safely: tied bags inside your boundary; flatten cardboard; keep food waste sealed to avoid pests.

Prevent stolen or broken bins in future

• Mark clearly: paint pen or stickers with house number and street (front & lid).
• Put out on time, not overnight: reduces risk of tampering or wind damage; position off the pavement where allowed.
• Don’t overload: lids must close; heavy loads crack wheels/axles and are refused by crews.
